8 : Examinations

This time, I’m going to write about how to test one’s allergic diseases.
As tests to examine allergic diseases, there are TARC, RAST, prick test, oral provocation test, lymphocyte transformation test, lymphocyte stimulation test, and patch test and so on. TARC is numerical value of protein made in internal and it attracts the cells. Results of TARC change by one’s state of disease once in a while, so it can be used as verdict of degree of seriousness or curative effects. Prick test and RAST are examinations for typeallergies. And a result of RAST doesn’t match with clinical diseases often so it is need to pay attention. Lymphocyte transformation test and lymphocyte stimulation test are the tests to examine for drug allergies or mechanism of other type allergies. Patch test is a test for typeallergies. It is well-known about that it is did when hair dyeing.

Then, I’m going to write and divide these into some groups.
If divide tests of allergies into some groups, there are 3 groups of blood test, skin test and load test. First, blood tests are necessary to conclude to have atopic dermatitis. It investigate what is a cause of atopy. It may check on the number of eosinophile cells, value of IgE, specific IgE, LDH, TARC. These values of who has atopic dermatitis tend to be high. Next, skin tests may cause the one itch because it needs to attach some allergens and there are three kinds, scratch test, intradermal reaction test, and patch test. These are the tests by scratch and or patch some antigens, or inject these into one’s skin to examine the one is allergic to the substances or not, and leave it briefly. If it appears some eczemas or the spot where operated became red, the one is allergic to the antigens. Last, load tests are large-scale tests. It may need to go into the hospital for the tests. Ingesting the substances which the one may allergic to these, and check eczemas appear or not. It is so primitive test but sometimes these may cause a heavy symptom once in a while.
Besides, there are tests to check that the one has asthma or a pollen allergy not. First, how to test the one has asthma or not, that is by respiratory function tests or respiratory anaphylaxis measuring methods. The formers are the test to check the conditions of the lungs and the bronchus. These don’t be applied to children because it needs efforts. The latter are the test by inhaling the antigens and check the faculty of the breath. Next, how to test the one has a pollen allergy or not is to examine into eyes and noses. In the test of eyes, taking the eye mucus or the conjunctiva by a specific brush and examine these whether there is an acidophilic bacterium or not. In the tests of nose is to watch the mucos membrane of it by using small disk.

The results of the tests are change at more advanced ages so let’s undergo the tests periodically.
